Bank Day 2025 Recap

This month students from across our footprint took part in a scholarship opportunity from the VBA called Bank Day!
Through this program, high school seniors learn about banking, financial services, career opportunities within the banking industry, and banks' vital role in their communities. Then students will write essays on their experiences. Twelve students across Virginia will win a total of $28,000 in scholarships.
Student’s started off the day with an overview of their VBA assignments and dove right into learning about Blue Ridge Bank’s history and about careers in banking. Next, our CEO Billy Beale kicked off a Live Q&A session with various departments including commercial lending, marketing, operations, human resources, and treasury.
After lunch student’s enjoyed a tour of their branches where they could interact with on site departments and staff members and finished the day with personal finance tips for upcoming college students.
